Custom Business Software Development
Software designed around how your team works.
Request a Business Automation ReviewSpreadsheets and disconnected applications can make everyday work hard to follow. Lionist develops custom business software around the people using it: what they need to enter, what they need to see and which decisions they must approve.
What we can scope with you
- Quoting and job workflows that reflect your business process.
- Owner dashboards bringing agreed operational information into one view.
- Internal tools for document handling, approvals and repetitive administration.
- Interfaces designed for desktop and mobile use, where required by the project.
Build a useful first version
We begin with a workflow review and a clearly bounded first release. The proposal sets out features, exclusions, access requirements and acceptance criteria. Your team then reviews working software in stages, so changes are informed by actual use.
Experience from workshop operations
Our AutoWorks pilot explores quoting, catalogue information and workshop administration. It is an active pilot, not a finished accounting replacement. See the workshop example and current testing priorities.
Plan for ownership and ongoing use
Before development, agree on hosting, data export, user roles, backups, maintenance and support. Software ownership and licensing should be recorded in the proposal. Connections to other platforms are assessed separately against their available APIs and permissions.
What to bring to a review
A walkthrough of one everyday task is a useful start. Explain who does it, which systems they use and where mistakes or delays arise. Use anonymised examples initially; access to business records can be agreed when the project requires it.
Melbourne and Australia-wide
Onsite consultations are available in Melbourne and the south-east. We also work online with Australian businesses. Scope and delivery timing are agreed after the initial review.
